Rachel Higham

Rachel has spent the past 30 years in technology leadership roles in retail and investment banking, insurance, telecoms, advertising and media, and consumer retail. She has lived and worked around the world. Her last 3 roles were in global chief information and chief digital and technology officer positions for BT, WPP and Marks & Spencer.

Rachel now has a portfolio career serving as:

  • a non-executive director to high-tech companies
  • a board/executive advisor on digital transformation and business resilience
  • a strategic advisor to venture capital and private equity investment houses and their scale-up portfolio companies

Rachel is a passionate diversity and inclusion champion. She sponsors a number of development programmes for women and the LGBTQ+ community. She has wide-ranging governance experience from her corporate career and being on the boards of several arts charities, hi-tech companies, advisory and industry bodies.

Rachel currently serves on the board of Macmillan, the charity supporting 3 million people living with cancer in the UK. She serves on their People and EDI committee and chairs their technology and innovation impact investment portfolio advisory groups.
