Who we are

The Women’s Business Council is a government-backed, business-led council that was established in 2012 with the aim of ensuring real action to maximise women’s contribution to economic growth.

There are more women in employment in the UK than ever before: 15.1 million.

The number of girls taking maths A-level increased by 11% from 2010 to 2016, and the number of girls taking physics A-level increased by 14% over the same six years.
